Roadtrip 2016 Fall: Vancouver - Yakima - Bend - John Day River - Port Orford - Florence - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 13 - Bandon

Our Port Orford home for a month.

First stop in Bandon is Bandon Fish Market - the only place in the world Russ will order Fish (Halibut) 'n Chips. This is worth a trip to Bandon all by itself.

Emma just stamps past the tricycle. She's all grown-up now.

Tourists never tire of selfies with the original Statue of Liberty, made famous by the "damn you all to hell" scene in Planet of the Apes.

Have we ever mentioned there ain't nuthin' like a day at the beach?

Emma prepares for her amazing levitating ball trick. We think she is the only dog in the world who can do this.

Easy, easy. The ball is very sensitive.

There. Attadog.

Finally, scare that ball with some serious barking.

Meanwhile, we spot these Russian-made SKZ-2341 spy-foam drones cruising the beach. It is absolutely amazing how much electronic surveillance gear can be hidden in beach foam.

Flotsam of the day.

A florist couldn't have arranged it any better.

The face of Face Rock

Apparently, angels play soccer too.

Some folks have carved out a little spot on the beach - just waiting for the party to arrive.

Waiting for sundown.

We're not sure what the skies will bring tomorrow - but we were delivered an excellent day today.
